This year, Triel-sur-Seine celebrates the Chinese Lunar New Year in style on Saturday, February 1, 2025! That weekend, the charming town in the Yvelines region (78) will be bursting with color, flavors and traditional entertainment, much to the delight of families.
From noon onwards, let yourself be drawn in by the sweet aroma wafting from the Chinese village, brimming with authentic delights, planted in the Place Philippe Prévost. After tasting the famous culinary specialities, join in the festivities with a host ofevents that will take you to the heart of Chinese culture.
And don't miss the lion and dragon parade! Following the Eyes of the Dragon opening ceremony, the parade will take to the streets of the town with a giant dragon, batucadas and a snake created by the schools, all the way to Place Philippe Prévost. Follow the procession with your loved ones to music until nightfall.
Other highlights of the day include the choir and the Dragon Bleu show, combining dance and kung-fu demonstrations. And, as every good show ends on a high note, get ready for an epic fireworks display followed by a dance party that will electrify the town until 10pm.
