The Musée de l'Orangerie is celebrating this Saturday, May 13, 2024: like many of its peers, this fine Parisian museum is taking part in the 20th Nuit des Musées. For an entire evening, the museum, its permanent collections and temporary exhibitions are open to all visitors free of charge.
This nocturnal cultural event is an opportunity to (re)discover Monet's mythical Water Lilies paintings, installed in two oval halls. This is always an impressive and striking spectacle, proof of the painter's great talent.
Alongside the Water Lilies, the Jean Walter and Paul Guillaume collection showcases 146 works, including paintings from the 1860s to the 1930s assembled by Paul Guillaume, a young French art dealer with a passion for art. The Musée de l'Orangerie holds 25 works by Renoir, 15 by Cézanne, one by Gauguin, Monet and Sisley, as well as works by Picasso, Matisse, Modigliani and Soutine.

Note that 5,000 visitors usually come to the Musée de l'Orangerie in the Jardin des Tuileries during Nuit des Musées! To avoid the crowds and make the most of this event, we advise you to make your visit as early as possible.
