The Nuit des Musées is back for another edition, on May 18, 2024, which promises to be full of surprises and immersive, nocturnal visits. Every year, many curious visitors come to discover the exceptional heritage of the Ile-de-France region during these original evenings, which offer a different perspective on the collections housed in the museums of the capital and the Ile-de-France region. Fun tours, candlelit visits, moonlit musical evenings - all free of charge!
Why not take advantage of this exceptional evening to explore the Musée Lambinet, recently reopened to the public? This museum, which presents the history of the city of Versailles, boasts a vast collection of works from the Renaissance to the mid-20th century. In a sumptuous mansion typical of Rocaille architecture, we stroll among sculptures, paintings, furniture and objets d'art, plunging us into the atmosphere of Versailles of yesteryear. Among them is the harp created by Queen Marie-Antoinette's Versailles luthier, François-Joseph Naderman.
A true collectors' house, in a city that played a key role in French history!
