The Fête de la Musique is back with a bang on June 21, 2024! This not-to-be-missed event, celebrated the world over, was first held in France in 1982. It's an opportunity to celebrate music in all its forms, with free concerts in streets, parks and emblematic venues. Paris is transformed into a veritable festival. And this year, Citéco is the place to be!
Located in the majestic Hôtel Gaillard, Citéco - la Cité de l'Economie, is a space dedicated to the economy and money. Opening in 2019, Citéco offers a fascinating dive into the world of economics through interactive exhibitions and workshops. TheHôtel Gaillard, with its neo-Renaissance architecture, offers a unique historical and cultural setting that blends perfectly with the magic of music.
And while we're on the subject of magic, note that students from the École Normale de Musique de Paris will be on hand at Citéco for a special evening of classical music to mark the new Fête de la Musique. To be discovered on Friday June 21, 2024 at 6.30pm and 8pm, these two concerts (45 minutes each) will take place in the museum's main hall.
Please note that this musical evening is free of charge, but reservations must be made on the official website.
