The Fête de la Musique was born over 40 years ago, on the initiative of Jack Lang, Minister of Culture, Maurice Fleuret and Christian Dupavillon . The aim of this great popular festival was to celebrate all genres of music, all artists, without hierarchy or distinction in favor of any one of them. Rock, pop, electro, zouk, rap, Latin, blues and jazz, classical or religious music... Tunes of all kinds resound in France every June 21!
This Friday, June 21, 2024, music is once again in the spotlight. In Paris, hundreds of concerts and events are scheduled throughout the evening, to the delight of music lovers.
If you're a fan of sacred music, don't miss the musical entertainment organized on the square in front of Notre-Dame Cathedral inParis, Place Jean-Paul II. The capital's most emblematic monument also vibrates to the rhythm of music, with this very special concert...
Located in the heart of Paris, on theîle de la Cité, Notre-Dame Cathedral is one of the city's oldest monuments. With a history spanning more than 10 centuries, the cathedral has witnessed some of the greatest events in French history, is the focus of many artists' works, and attracts thousands of worshippers and visitors... Currently under reconstruction following the fire in 2019, the monument remains closed to the public to this day.
Jour De Louange is an event open to all, bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds who want to take the time to raise spontaneous praises for the music festival.
The heart behind this initiative is to have an annual rendezvous that brings us together to praise together!
