This year's Fête de la Musique falls on a Friday. An opportunity to enjoy a stress-free evening of music before the weekend.
As every year at the same time, all kinds of music are featured: rap, rock, pop, electro, classical, jazz, blues, reggae, metal, RnB, salsa... For a whole day, budding musicians get out their instruments and take to the streets to bring the music to life.
Since 1982, when the Fête de la Musique was launched in France, this popular and festive event has been an opportunity to get together with friends, family or couples to enjoy music in all its forms. While many concerts take place in the street, in squares, parks and gardens, or in cafés, bars and restaurants, some artists take over emblematic venues such as theOlympia, theÉlysée, theOrangerie du Sénat or the Gare Saint-Lazare. Alongside the Gare Montparnasse, Gare du Nord and Gare de Lyon, the Gare Saint-Lazare is one of six major SNCF terminuses in the capital.
This year, Gare Saint-Lazare is taking part in the Fête de la musique. Together with the LPE association, it is organizing two free concerts on June 21, 2024 on the forecourt (near the Starbucks terrace). The program includes Cuban salsa and jazz mixed with soul.
