Another Fête de la Musique! Every June 21, this popular, festive and free event puts a smile on the faces of music lovers and the many musicians eager to bring live music to life on a unique day. It's a day to celebrate all musical styles: from rock and rap to blues and jazz, electro and classical, reggae and classical...
As a reminder, the Fête de la Musique was launched in 1982 by the French Ministry of Culture. This year, 2024, marks the 42nd anniversary of this popular musical event, which is as popular as ever with the general public. Every June 21, free concerts take over the streets, as well as concert halls, museums, institutions, churches, bar and restaurant terraces, parks and gardens.
For this year's Fête de la Musique, there's no shortage of good music deals to be had, and some events are sure to be a must, such as France Inter 's evening of free concerts at theOlympia.
France Inter fête la musique ", which has quickly become a not-to-be-missed event on June 21, returns to the legendary Parisian venue on the Boulevard des Capucines in Paris. For a whole evening, the Radio France group's famous radio station invites a number of national and international artists to take over the Olympia to celebrate the Fête de la Musique in style. As in previous years, this new edition will be broadcast live from the Olympia on France Inter. More good news: admission is free, but subject to availability. So don't be late!
So, who has the honor of taking part in this new edition of " France Inter fête la musique " to be experienced on Friday June 21, 2024 from 8pm ? Well, this year, the Olympia opens its doors to Justice! The famous French electro duo, made up of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, made their comeback last April with the album"Hyperdrama". We can imagine that the band will be taking advantage of the fête de la musique to play some of their old and new material on June 21.
Also on hand that evening will be rapper Yamê, crowned male revelation of the year at the Victoires de la Musique awards, and rapper Luidji, who is due to take over the Accor Arena in Paris this autumn. Last but not least, Jamie xx, the British musician and composer, also member and creator of the famous group The XX, will also be on hand! The evening will be presented by Laurent Goumarre and Aline Afanoukoé.
Last year, 5 artists celebrated the Fête de la musique at the Olympia, including the phenomenon Zaho de Sagazan, Jain, Arlo Parks, and rappers Dinos and Lomepal.
