The Cité de l'architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris celebrates 42 years of the Fête de la musique this Friday, June 21, 2024. Here's the program!

Music in every street, people dancing and singing, beautiful moments of joy: there's no doubt about it, it's the Fête de la Musique that 's back in Paris this Friday, June 21, 2024! A not-to-be-missed cultural rendezvous, this festival transforms the entire capital into a giant concert hall, allowing anyone with an artistic soul to sing or play an instrument, for better... And sometimes for worse.

However, there's no risk of hearing the wrong notes at the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine. The Parisian museum, located on the Place du Trocadéro, also welcomes artists to vibrate to the rhythm of this popular festival. This Friday evening, the Cité de l'architecture opens its doors free of charge to all music lovers and the curious, for a musical evening full of surprises...

If you're not familiar with this art and culture museum, now's your chance to find out. The Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine is a rather unique museum. Attached to the Ministry of Culture, its aim is to promote French architecture and heritage, both in France and abroad, while exhibiting emblematic pieces of French architectural heritage and contemporary creations.

On the program for the Fête de la Musique 2024 at the Cité de l'architecture in Paris:

    Duration: 4 concerts of 30 min
    Join us in the Galerie des Moulages at 7pm for two exclusive concerts by Jeunes Talents musicians. The evening kicks off with a medley of the greatest pop hits, concocted by the Gaman Ensemble: will you be able to recognize these essential songs arranged for saxophones?
    Singer Nina Spinosi will then take you on a one-way trip to the Mediterranean coast, accompanied on guitar by Odée Mertzweiller. From Obradors to Bellini to Ramirez, enjoy a warm foretaste of summer on this festive evening!
    Take advantage of the Cité's free admission throughout the evening to discover all the permanent collections.
