June 21 sees the return of the Fête de la musique. For more than 40 years now, this great event, both popular and festive, has been an opportunity to see well-known and recognized artists live, free of charge, as well as to discover up-and-coming young talent. The Fête de la Musique gives budding musicians the opportunity to play on a real stage, to express themselves, to make themselves known and to share their passion with as many people as possible over the course of an entire day.
So, every June 21, free concerts and DJ sets take place just about everywhere, in the street of course, but also in parks, squares and gardens, bars and restaurants, museums and cultural centers, churches and institutions... And all kinds of music are featured, from rap and rock to classical, jazz, French variety and electro.
And while there's no shortage of good music deals in Paris every year, there's no shortage of concerts elsewhere in the Paris region, such as in Meaux. This Seine-et-Marne town is once again getting into the spirit of the Fête de la musique. Join us this Friday, June 21, 2024, from 6 p.m., all over the town, to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of this popular event!
