Dive into the heart of the Great War! On September 8 and 9, 2024, the Musée de la Grande Guerre organizes the 12th edition of its not-to-be-missed re-enactment weekend: a unique event for young and old, combining history and spectacle.
This year's event is exceptional in that it commemorates the 110th anniversary of the Battle of the Marne! The museum and the Pays de Meaux and Ourcq have a whole host of surprises in store for you: watch breathtaking parades, talk to enthusiastic re-enactors and discover the daily lives of soldiers, nurses and civilians. Horses, dogs, original equipment... all the elements are brought together to help you understand the life and daily routine of soldiers on the battlefields.
Thanks to the 300 re-enactors present on a large bivouac, you'll gain a better understanding of the soldiers' daily lives and the challenges of this war. Commemorations and hikes will also be organized to help you discover the area marked by history.
