Sharp guitar riffs, ultra-powerful drum beats, driving bass lines... On June 21, the instruments are out in full force for the new 41st Fête de la Musique. Every year, on the summer solstice, amateur musicians bring out their instruments to make live music resound just about everywhere: from the streets to restaurants and bars, from parks and gardens to churches, museums and institutions.
For over 40 years now, the Fête de la musique has been thrilling us every June 21 with a series of free concerts that are as festive as they are warm. While the Fête de la Musique is an opportunity to celebrate the arrival of summer, it's also a popular event that allows us to discover up-and-coming young talent.
This year, for the new Fête de la musique, we're once again offering a whole host of good deals. There's something for everyone, with rock of course for lovers of big sounds, but also rap and hip-hop for fans of urban music, and electro for night owls with a taste for house, deep and disco.
The Fête de la Musique is also a popular and festive event, inviting people to dance. If you'd like to get your body moving on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, then head for the 18th arrondissement, which is offering its traditional Bal électro de Montmartre in open-air mode, not to be missed from 6pm in front of the Tifinagh restaurant, located in a cul-de-sac at the foot of Montmartre.
