The CENTQUATRE is taking part in the Nuit blanche de Paris, this Saturday, October 3, 2020, with an unusual evening! As it did last year, the venue is offering a preview of its forthcoming exhibition a week before the opening. This year, it's a beautiful exhibition byAlain Fleischer, entitled L'Aventure générale.
In this exhibition, created with his wife, Alain Fleischer aims to offer a "drift" into his abundant universe. A prolific artist, Alain Fleisher has written some fifty books and made 350 films, not to mention his work in visual art and photography, which led him to found Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains. A jack-of-all-trades, the artist plays with reality, "the other side of illusion".
We come face to face with 40 works and installations that take up the themes dear to the artist's heart. Faces, bodies, objects, animals, furniture, toys, mirrors, voices, sounds, projections, lights, shadows, machines and games. In this 2,540 m2 tour of the CENTQUATRE, the artist hopes to move us and show us "his part of a world that belongs to everyone", and it has to be said that he has plenty in reserve! The artist promises us interactive works.
