A one-of-a-kind artistic installation... This is what artist Nicolas Paolozzi is proposing for the 20th edition of Nuit Blanche, taking place on the night of October 2 to 3, 2021. Entitled Kontakt, this musical, sound and interactive work can be discovered at the Grande Halle de La Villette all night long, for all lovers of contemporary art.
It's a work of art in which you play an active role, since your passage and interactions within the installation modify it live, creating something as unique as it is ephemeral. Imagined with the Collectif RDV, which he founded in 2011, the installation is a"living architecture combining sound, light and interactivity". Immersive, the work plunges night owls into different atmospheres, sometimes soft and bewitching, sometimes darker and more striking. The aim: to enter into a dialogue with it and modify some of these "behaviours".
It's a project that also stems from the collective's reflections on previous installations, evolving towards a cross-disciplinary practice of architecture. In a perpetual phase of experimentation, the collective explores the possibilities offered by image and sound through a wide range of projects, using scenography, exhibitions, performances and ephemeral micro-architectures. A fine summary to be discovered at Nuit Blanche 2021.
