If you're not already familiar with Nuit Blanche, here's a quick recap: launched in 2002 by the City of Paris, this event is a celebration of contemporary creativity. Over the course of one night, more than 200 events are organized throughout the city, in the form of performances, exhibitions, installations, participatory activities, shows... Parks, squares, museums, but also churches, art galleries and other places of interest in the capital and other towns in the Paris region are open free of charge during the evening, allowing the general public to enjoy contemporary art.
Among the participating venues is the Bibliothèque historique de la Ville de Paris. Located in the 4th arrondissement, in the Hôtel de Lamoignon, this library houses important collections on thehistory of Paris and the Île-de-France region.
