As an amused and playful critique of the workings of the Olympic Games, visual artist Elizabeth Saint-Jalmes invites the public to become imaginary athletes. Using a performative device made up of fabric banners created in advance with audiences of all ages, participants in groups of 8 are invited to train by sharing sensitive, personal experiences with the artist. Using the series of banners available at the Maison Doisneau entrance, they metamorphose into creatures of a new kind. Elizabeth Saint-Jalmes proposes a poetic and positive alternative to the ultra-competitiveness of top-level sports.
