Valentine's Day 2023: "My Best Girl" film-concert at the Maison de la Radio

Valentine's Day is coming to the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique this year! On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, Studio 104 of the Maison Ronde opens its doors to a romantic movie-concert .

Starting at 8:30 pm, come and (re)discover"My Best Girl" ("La Petite Vendeuse"), this famous film directed in 1927 by Sam Taylor, with Mary Pickford in the cast. Considered one of the first romantic comedies of silent cinema, the film tells the story of a young salesgirl who falls in love with the son of the store owner where she works. For a romantic comedy to be successful, there must of course be someone who opposes this romance, in this case the father.

For this exclusive ciné-concert, the film will be projected with improvisations, original compositions, but also songs from 1900 to 1945... all performed by the Maîtrise de Radio France, with pianist Grégory Privat.
