Not just a cinema! L'Entrepôt has been around since the 70s, when it was founded by Frédéric Mitterrand, former Minister of Culture and nephew of François Mitterrand. It's one of the few cinemas in Paris to have several different spaces in a single location. In all, you'll find no fewer than 5 different venues: a cinema, a concert hall, a gallery, a bar and a restaurant.
The cinema has 3 screening rooms, each of which can accommodate between 80 and 100 people. It's a continuation cinema, so the films shown have generally been out for a few weeks, allowing latecomers to see them. But some art house and mainstream films are also part of the program. Younger children can also take advantage of the young-audience screenings, which include short films and animated features.
In addition to the cinema, l'Entrepôt is a veritable artistic hub. Upstairs is a gallery where exhibitions are held throughout the year. In the concert hall, a succession of jazz and world music shows take place. And this year's big news is L'Entrepôt comedy club! Every second Thursday, the concert hall is transformed into a stand-up stage, with a group of comedians taking turns to perform comedy for the audience.
If you're feeling peckish in between all these activities,"le Jardin Secret", l'Entrepôt's restaurant, awaits you. Tapas, fish, meat, vegetables...there's something for everyone. Open until midnight, the restaurant is nestled in a warm and friendly setting with a glass roof and a garden terrace, ideal in summer. All this in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, in the same neighborhood as the Bobino theater, a 13-minute walk away, or just 70 meters away, the Troquet canteen, Christian Etchebest's restaurant.
