This is not the year for movie theaters or show venues. After a long lockdown between March and May, and a shy return of spectators in limited venues these past five months, theaters, show venues and movie theaters in Paris and France once again have to close starting Friday October 30, 2020 at midnight and until at least December 1.
French President Emmanuel Macron addressed on Wednesday October 28, 2020 and announced stronger and new restrictions against coronavirus, including a new national lockdown. This new lockdown is to start from October 30, 2020 and up to four weeks, renewable.
Movie theaters, as well as show venues have to close again like museums, non-necessary stores, gyms and any other place receiving the public and said to be non-necessary.
We are expecting a new wave of movie release delays and shootings on hold, jeopardizing production and movie distribution schedules, as well as reprogramming as for show venues and theaters.
