Telling the story of a family over almost 40 years is Léonor Serraille 's ambitious project in Un Petit Frère, her second film. Scheduled for release on February 1, 2023.
In this feature-length film, the director tells the story of Rose, who arrives in France with her two boys, Jean and Ernest. Un Petit Frère is the story of this family, their construction and deconstruction, from the 1980s to the present day. The cast includes Annabelle Lengronne as Rose, and several actors of different ages as Jean and Ernest. To play their adult versions, the director called on Stéphane Bak and Ahmed Sylla. Different roles for the two comedians, more accustomed to comedies.
An ambitious and much-appreciated drama, it was in the official competition at the last Cannes Film Festival, where it caused a sensation.
