CanneSeries: the winners of the Cannes Film Festival of series revealed

A few weeks before the Cannes Film Festival, the small screen version of the event - CanneSeries - was held from April 14 to 19 in Cannes. We look back on the Festival and its prize list.

As the Cannes Film Festival kicks off on May 16, the Croisette is preparing to live to the rhythm of the screenings with the CanneSeries festival, whose sixth edition was held from April 14 to 19. This festival, created in 2018, takes place every year in April, just before the Cannes Film Festival.

Chaired by Lior Raz, the jury had the choice between twenty-six series in three different competitions: long series, short series and documentaries. The series Tapie, with Laurent Laffite, was the only representative of France in the long series competition.

  • Best series: Power Play (Norway)
  • Best Script: Bargain (South Korea)
  • Best Music: Power Play
  • Best Performance: Corduroy (Israel)
  • Special Achievement Award: Carthago (Israel)
  • High School Award : Carthago
  • Best Short Series: The Left-Handed Son (Spain)
  • Students' Award : L'air d'aller (Canada)
  • Best Documentary Series: Draw for Change! (Belgium)
