The Marvel and Disney+ magic is back... Agatha All Along, a series centered on the character ofAgatha Harkness, a witch discovered in WandaVision (and whose show is a sequel) played by Kathryn Hahn, invites you to discover her bewitching universe on the SVOD platform. The series is the brainchild of Jac Schaeffer, already behind the Wanda Maximoff and Vision shows.
Agatha All Along will be broadcast on Disney+ from September 19, 2024. The final episode is scheduled for October 31, 2024.
Synopsis: Now powerless, the infamous Agatha Harkness is a shadow of her former self. Until the day a gothic teenager helps her break free from her twisted spell. Agatha's interest is piqued when he begs her to walk with him along the legendary Witch's Road, a mythical path made up of a series of magical tests which - if surmounted - rewards every sorceress with what she lacks. Together, Agatha and this mysterious boy soon gather a community of witches before embarking on this highly epic journey...

In addition to Kathryn Hahn(Brooklyn Nine-Nine, WandaVision), the cast includes Patti LuPone (American Horror Story: NYC, Beau is Afraid...), Aubrey Plaza (Parks & Recreations, The White Lotus...), Joe Locke(Heartstopper), Sasheer Zamata(The Mitchells vs. the Machines, Tuca and Bertie....), Ali Ahn (Orange is the New Black, How to raise a superhero...), Maria Dizzia (Fringe, 13 Reasons Why...), Paul Adelstein (Prison Break, Private Practice...), Miles Gutierrez-Riley(Smile 2), Okwui Okpokwasili and Debra Jo Rupp (That's 70's Show, WandaVision...).
As for the title, Agatha Harkness seemed keen to play a trick on us with her series, unveiling a succession of titles including"Coven of Chaos","Darkhold Diaries","House of Harkness" and"Agatha the Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe". These suspicious titles could only be hiding something else... and we were right to think so, since Disney revealed the real title of the series in May. All these titles were subterfuge, since, as the series title says,"Agatha was behind it all!

Our review of the Agatha All Along series on Disney+ :
So, does the series live up to expectations? Or, more importantly, does it live up to its predecessor, WandaVison? The answer is yes, by far! As far as the plot is concerned, we weren't quite sure what we were going to be eaten with, and it's a rather well-crafted and well-staged affair. We follow Agatha who, after Wanda' s disappearance from Mount Wundagore (in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), awakens from the spell she was under (with a little help) and plunges back into the "Witch's Road" to regain her powers in the company of a makeshift Sabbat.
The story's structure is inspired by WandaVision, with each episode inspired by a film or serial genre. And the deus ex machina resembles WandaVision in its own way (we won't elaborate here, because of spoilers). We particularly appreciate episode 7, whose solid, surgical structure juggles past and future episodes. As for the script, it's well written, and the series is great fun to watch.
Casting is also very good! We love Kathryn Hahn as much as ever in the role of the always whimsical and truculent Agatha, as do the rest of the cast, each managing to stand out and shine when the time comes. We regret perhaps the timid development of Joe Locke's role, whose content, kept secret for much of the series, prevents any character development. And the young actor struggles to make "Teen" exist, with a few tasty jabs. His real character, Wiccan, is revealed in full in the penultimate episode, but unfortunately doesn't have time to develop, but what we saw made us want to see more.
In short, we really enjoyed it, and can't wait to see the characters again in future productions. A must-see if you like Marvel series in the WandaVision vein, or anything a little spooky!
