Who'd have thought it, as soon as it was released on the Netflix streaming platform, the shark movie"Sous la Seine" became a totally unexpected success. After conquering the U.S. with 102 million views, Xavier Gens' feature became the most-watched French film on the platform, and is now getting a sequel, according to revelations to La Tribune Dimanche from its lead actress, Bérénice Béjo, who hints at a September 2025 shoot for the second opus.
The sequel to this"aquatic thriller", considered by many viewers to be a mix of B-movie and action film, in which a mutant shark appears in the Seine while a triathlon is being organized, will be"another film, very different... but still with a shark", says the actress. While we await its release in 2026, we can let our imaginations run away with the next synopsis, with perhaps an entire country ravaged by these unlikely sharks...
