To meet this mythical vampire, visit Galeries Montparnasse from June 19, 2024, for 20 to 30 minutes of a new kind of experience!
In a 600m2 space, with your virtual reality headset on, participants explore this terrifying hotel, which intends to plunge you into the origins of fear, thanks to cutting-edge technology and immersive narration. Prepare to be regularly startled by this frightening atmosphere! An experience that's sure to please horror movie fans and thrill-seekers alike, but forbidden to children under 10.
Our test of the virtual reality experience Hotel Dracula :
A horrific experience that the editors were able to try out... Taking our courage in both hands, we headed to the Galeries Montparnasse to experience this horrific adventure - more contemplative than interactive - to the point of giving us the shivers! Immersion-wise, it's a mixed bag: as far as theVR experience itself is concerned, there's nothing to complain about: it's well done, it's ultra-fluid, and the freeroming VR headset (with integrated sound) is a real plus, making movement and immersion extremely easy. On the other hand, on the reality side, we regret that the room isn't themed, and is even a little rough around the edges (exposed plasterboard, empty space...). So, okay, that's not why we came, but it's still a bit stark...
Nevertheless, the virtual reality experience is really cool... and quite terrifying. Once the instructions have been explained, we put on our headset (compatible with glasses for those who wear them, it should be noted...), and follow the instructions as we make our way through the corridors of this haunted hotel. Corridors not unlike those of a certain... Silent Hill (you'll understand when you see it)! And let's face it, it's scary! It's quite simple: one jumpscar after another... So don't panic if you've got a heart condition: it's manageable, and even fun.
And so it goes, one tableau after another, ending in a room full of emaciated, starving giants... Will this be the main course? All you have to do is turn up and find out!
