Once again, Zelda must defend her kingdom and preserve the peace: join the princess on a never-before-seen quest, with Hyrule Warriors: Chronicles of the Seal. This action-RPG, scheduled for winter 2025, was unveiled at the Nintendo Direct dedicated to the Nintendo Switch 2. Discover the first trailer.
The Hyrule Warriors saga expands with this new title. The series is set in the past of The Legend of Zelda games. The Chronicles of the Seal is billed as a prequel to Tears of the Kingdom, in which we relive the battles of the Seal War. The terrible Ganondorf and his troops once again threaten the kingdom of Hyrule, a kingdom quite different from the one we know. Zelda has travelled back in time to confront this long-standing enemy, and allies herself with the Soneau people.
The images in the trailer seem to show open-world gameplay, with an emphasis on combat phases. The game doesn't reveal much more, and the rest is left to our imagination for now. No price has been revealed either, but beware: Mario Kart World, also announced at the Direct, is expected to cost between 80 and 90 euros. A higher budget than for previous games.
No details have been released, but it seems that Hyrule Warriors: The Seal Chronicles will be exclusive to Switch 2. We hope to have more information soon on this new game from the Zelda universe. In the meantime, it might be worth replaying Tears of the Kingdom...
