Get ready to ramp up the competition as the action returns on Nintendo Switch 2! A new family-friendly sports title is launching on the Japanese console, from October 22, 2026. Boxing, tennis, golf, bowling, skateboarding—here’s what awaits you this fall with Nintendo Switch Sport Resort.
« Create and customize your Sportsmate or your Mii, and explore the sport facilities of Wuhu Island. Use the Joy-Con 2 as a racket, a bow, a handlebars, and much more across these 12 events.»
Continuing the trend set by its previous sports games, Nintendo now leads us to an island teeming with athletes of every stripe. Wii players will be able to revisit the Wuhu Island and its unique tourist facilities.
The game’s preview trailer reveals the 12 activités on the island: boxing, bowling, thumb wrestling, seaplane, tennis, golf, archery, table tennis, volleyball, skateboarding, basketball, and jet-skiing. A true athletic camp worthy of the Olympic Games! To spice things up, there are alternative modes: challenge a round of table tennis, or try to hit every can on the table; score strikes in bowling or attempt to topple 100 pins! These mini-games can break the monotony of the activities and offer a small, engaging challenge for professional athletes.
The gameplay centers on intuitive motion controls: with the Joy-Con you can steer your character’s actions by moving objects as you would in real life. The game is well suited for TV play, as long as you have enough space around you to swing your racket for those tennis shots without knocking over a vase.
Some of these activities are Nintendo's sports classics, while others are more surprising. The game offers a multijoueur local, mode for up to four players. The multijoueur en ligne mode lets you face players from around the world in competitions. It’s also possible to create a lobby to play online exclusively with your friends.
