Mickey Mouse, the nice little mouse designed by Walt Disney back in 1928 is celebrating its 90th birthday this year! And for the occasion, Monnaie de Paris, in 11 Quai de Conti, has created a new collection of special coins displaying the legendary character.
This collection offers colorized silver coins, silver coins and gold coins, going from €10 to €200 that you can buy by in single blisters or collector album and staging Mickey through different regions of France.
€10 silver coins:
Available in single blisters or collector album of 10 for €100, the 10 first colorized silver coins represent Mickey traveling through the main regions of France and available from March 20, 2018, while you will have to wait until September 24, é018 to discover the 10 other coins that will complete the collection.
€50 coin:
Made out of pure silver, the €50-coin represents Mickey at Bastille Day dance on French National Day.
€200 coin:
The gold coin, worth €200, represents Mickey and the whole France with a small pictograph reminding us of each region specialty.
In other words, here’s a lovely collection that the artists from Monnaie de Paris give us and we must say we’re impressed they gave Mickey’s enthusiasm to this precious metal!
