Through the Salon du Livre Jeunesse Afro-Caribéen, the D'un Livre à l'Autre association is offering a literary voyage of discovery into the world of Afro-Caribbean children's literature and culture. Through storytelling, albums, encounters and round-table discussions, this 10th edition of the event, on the theme of childhood, will encourage exchanges over the course of a weekend, on November 30 and December 1, 2024, at the Lycée Auffray in Clichy.
[midroll]
Founded in 2008, the association aims to promote Afro-Caribbean children's literature to a wide audience and combat illiteracy. It insists on the need to represent heroes from diverse backgrounds to develop the confidence, dreams and imagination of all children, in order to open them up to others and to the world. Exhibitions, conferences, writing and reading workshops and storytelling shows are on offer for children and adults alike, as well as gourmet breaks and face-painting workshops!
