You don't necessarily have to go to a museum to learn more about art history and expand your knowledge! On October 17, 2024, Ground Control is hosting the first edition of a new type of evening event,"Les Nocturnes artistiques", in partnership with the Art Explora Foundation, which aims to make culture more accessible. Free of charge, take part in a quiz that promises to be lively, before listening to a talk between different presenters, for this time, as the program begins on the theme of"Art History and Feminism"!
Don't forget to sign up to attend this evening, where the team quiz will allow participants to test their knowledge of art, giving them the opportunity to (re)discover the great artistic figures and movements. And it's a game to be taken seriously, since the winners will go home with cultural prizes! Afterwards, a conference with time for genuine discussion will look at the place of women in art, their artistic careers and the (many) challenges they have faced throughout history.
The talk will be hosted by Madmoizelle editor Marie-Stéphanie Servos , art historian Ludivine Gaillard, artist duo Elsa & Johanna and Quotidien de l'Art journalist Sarah Hugounencq. As for you, all you have to do is brush up on your classics to make a good impression at this first edition!
