Bartabas is a demiurge creator, famous for his choreographies staging acrobats and horses in crazy decors. After giving his vision of Mozart’s Requiem (please!), within La Seine Musicale walls, Bartabas is back and now attacking another giant of the music story he knows well: Igor Stravinsky.
This time, he brings together the equestrian Academy of Versailles, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France (conducted by Mikko Franck) and the Choeur de Radio France (conducted by Lionel Sow) to propose a 75-minute show that revisits his famous choreography (created in 2000 in Amsterdam) of The Rite of Spring and the Symphony of Psalms.
Buckle up because you’ll be blown away, since the stage will feature not less than 19 horses, 7 Indian dancers, 12 riders, one air artist, 64 singers and 125 musicians! Misty decors, shades of brown, wild costumes: the aesthetic is extremely seductive and is due to a remarkable teamwork. Because Bartabas knows hos to pick up the best talents, his vision of The Rite of Spring and the Symphony of Psalms is a very beautiful promise of oneirism and poetry.
You really don’t want to miss it, no matter if you’re a horse enthusiast or not!
