South-Easter European country Kosovo has been affected by an extremely painful history. Declared independent in 2008, it remains a territory with a very uncertain status, that doesn’t belong to the UN. This being said, everyone who travelled there will tell you: it’s one of the trendiest destinations, so much for the beauty of its landscapes than for the courage of its people that make is a friendly travel place.
Another way to go and meet Kosovo is to discover the work of its dancers thanks to the dates given by Kosovo Ballet on Palace stage. In early June 2018, they will perform Recomposed, a contemporary dance ballet thought up for 20 dancers. This creation is signed by French choreographers Christophe Béranger and Jonathan Pranlas-Descours with an excellence international partnership.
Dancing on Vivaldi’s Four Seasons soundtrack revisited by composer Max Richter, Recomposed aims at being seen as “a metamorphosis of Kosovo’s current history”. In other words, the show aims at showing the past twenty years spent to rebuild the ruined country; a remarkable reflection between tradition and modernity, a look to the past and the hope of a brilliant future.
In short, here’s a promising show, a political and sensitive show… Save the dates!
