Brooklyn Nets pay symphonic tribute to Notorious B.I.G. at Théâtre du Châtelet

The Brooklyn Nets, the famous NBA basketball team, are in Paris for a week at the beginning of January 2024. This is an opportunity for them to meetthe Cleveland Cavaliersfor a gameat the Accor Arena in Paris on Thursday, January 11, 2024, as part of the NBA Paris Game 2024. But also as a preview to this game, to pay tribute to their city, their neighborhood.

And what better Brooklyn icon than the Notorious B.I.G.! an icon of the American hip-hop landscape, known for his influence on the rap industry. So, in collaboration with Atlantic/Rhino Records and the Notorious BIG Estate, The Brooklyn Nets instigate a symphonic concert, celebrating the memory of The Notorious B.I.G, with the help of composer Miguel Atwood Ferguson and DJ Clark Kent.

The concert will revolve around the artist's iconic tracks, produced on the albums "Ready to Die" and "Life After Death". These two opuses are certified multi-platinum and eleven times diamond disc respectively. The songs will bereinterpreted in symphonic versions, articulated around the creative energy of composer Miguel Atwood-Ferguson and the vibrations of DJ Clark Kent (DJ and beatmaker to Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Lil' Kim). Surprise guests will also be present for this concert of another dimension.

This vision is shared and supported by The Notorious B.I.G. Estate and its directors, who see this event as an opportunity to export Biggie's cultural and musical heritage to Paris for the first time.

A symphonic concert that promises to be a landmark celebration, full of emotion, that will both honor the memory of Notorious B.I.G. and connect two worlds, that of hip-hop and basketball, under the flag of Brooklyn culture, on January 10, 2024 at the Théâtre du Châtelet.
