The show "L'Odyssée" takes us on the journey of Ulysses, presented at the Comédie Nation in the 11th arrondissement from March 17, 2024. The show features an innovative new interpretation of Homer's book.
In a one-man show, Camille Prioul, author, director and actor, will take you from laughter to nostalgia, through the interpretation of 27 characters, as well as three crowds and a ram. You'll discover an extremely sober staging, as there is no set, everything resting on the actor. With boundless energy, Camille Prioul revisits Homer's text to bring out the strong emotions of life and its experiences.
After 10 years of war, Ulysses decides to return home to Ithaca, where he can be reunited with his soulmate Penelope, but to do so, he'll need the help of his hosts. He tells you all about his journey: the monsters he meets, the storms he battles and the encounters he makes.
At the age of 20, Camille Prioul joined La Ligue d'improvisation de Paris and discovered a real passion for theatrical improvisation, which he continued to practice throughout his career. He went on to play numerous roles in contemporary plays, and even created his own projects, such as L'Odyssée. His other dramatic comedy, "Ceux qui restent ", is also being programmed, but not yet in the capital.
The show "L'Odyssée " can be seen every Tuesday at 8pm and Sunday at 5pm at the Comédie Nation from March 17, and takes us back to the mad epic of Ulysses.
