This Friday, May 31, the appointment is made in a sold-out Trianon. After criss-crossing the roads of France, Doully returns once again to her home town, Paris:"Et Comment ils vont mes petits cul parisiens?! Doully 's singularly husky voice echoes joyously from backstage, giving us a smile already. His friend Yacine Belhousse, who needs no introduction, then takes to the stage to open the show, and it's clear that we're in for a treat! Yacine talks about his little complexes and weight gain during confinement (we feel less alone!), his childhood memories and... his doubts about how prepared we are to host the Olympic Games! It's funny, touching and intelligent. Our zygomas are already boiling to welcome Doully!
The actress then appears on stage, long skirt and camisole, barefoot, and approaches a high chair enthroned in the middle of the stage. She sparkles, and we're ready to embark with her into her world...
Doully is an incredible woman with a tormented background, who has lived a thousand lives in one lifetime. She talks sincerely about her past as a drug addict, her disability (she suffers from Charcot Marie Tooth disease)... She then lists all the absurd situations she faces in her daily life, and it's... hilarious. The comedian has found the right balance between the sometimes serious or heavy content and the light, funny, distanced way of talking about it. She showers the audience by explaining that she has taken three overdoses... and manages to get the laughter flowing again the next moment.
While her story infuses the whole show, married life, organic stores and bearded hipsters all get a kick out of it. The pace is brisk, the topics and jokes follow one another... and it's our abs that are put to the test!
We're warning you for future dates: avoid the front row if you don't want to risk being spotted by Doully! On Friday, Anthony, aka Antho, spiced up the evening. Between his job as a "mechanical engineer for glass syringes" (!) and his masterful karaoke dance on stage with Doully to close the evening, he was up to the task.
A huge favorite for us... and a must-see show at Cirque Electrique on October 10, 11 and 12 and at Folies Bergères on October 31. (as well as on tour in several French cities).
