Nutcracker: the musical at the Théâtre de la Tour Eiffel

The all-new Nutcracker arrives in Paris at the Théâtre de la Tour Eiffel onDecember 11, 2024, for a one-off performance. Usually known as a ballet, spectators will now discover a brand-new version in the form of a musical.

The Nutcracker tells the story of Clara, a young girl who receives a soldier-shaped nutcracker as a Christmas present. During the night, she is transported to a magical world where the toy comes to life and takes her on a fantastic journey. Together, they confront the Mouse King and travel through the Kingdom of Delights, where Clara meets fairytale characters such as the Sugar Plum Fairy. But in the new version at Théâtre de la Tour Eiffel, you'll be transported to the 18th century in modern times for a fable about dreams, the world of work and freedom.

In The Nutcracker, the music created for dancing and singing was inspired byTchaikovsky's ballet music . Directed by Sophie Delmas, the show at the Théâtre de la Tour Eiffel will feature fifteen pieces, enchanting yet modern sets and new technologies.

The Nutcracker ballet has become a worldwide classic, particularly popular during the Christmas season. First performed in Russia in 1892 to music by Tchaikovsky, it is now performed by numerous companies around the world, notably in Europe and the United States. Every year, a variety of adaptations, sometimes modernized, are presented, making The Nutcracker a holiday staple, appreciated for its magic and enchanting scenes. The Théâtre de la Tour Eiffel is proud to present a brand-new, never-before-seen version!
