Composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1892, The Nutcracker tells the story of Marie, a young girl who receives a soldier-shaped nutcracker as a gift at a Christmas party. In a fairytale world, her nutcracker comes to life, and Marie finds herself plunged into a magical adventure where she confronts the Mouse King, visits the Kingdom of Delights and dances with the Nutcracker Prince. The ballet blends the world of childhood and imagination, offering a regressive spectacle with a sweet childhood air, making The Nutcracker one of the world's most loved and performed ballets, especially during the holiday season.
