Joséphine Baker, le musical, the rhythmic show returns to Théâtre Bobino

Joséphine Baker, le musical, created by Jean-Pierre Hadida(Anne le musical, Le Pirate et la poupée), dramatizes the great moments in the life of the American-born French actress, singer and dancer. Several performances are scheduled from October 16, 2024 to January 29, 2025 at the Théâtre Bobino .

Musical synopsis:

Married at 13, from the black ghetto of Missouri, the young Josephine came to France and became the icon of the Paris of the Roaring Twenties. She joined the Resistance and came to symbolize the great universal woman recently celebrated at the Pantheon... "Joséphine Baker le musical" rediscovers the dazzling artist with extraordinary dancing and singing talents, the precursor of hip hop. A troupe of eight artists brings this story to life, with singer/actress Nevedya in the lead role. From her impoverished beginnings in the Missouri ghetto to her acts of resistance against Nazi Germany, her arrival in France and her fight against racial segregation, we discover a strong, talented and courageous woman.
