Paris Cœur de Lumières, the world's largest live sound and light show, arrives at Saint-Sulpice church

Paris Cœur de Lumières (Heart of Lights) is the name of the new monumental show unveiled in the heart ofSaint-Sulpice church. Come and experience history in the flesh, in the heart of a historic monument, a jewel of Parisian heritage, from October 16 to November 23, 2024!

For one month, this historic building in Paris's 6th arrondissement will be hosting an immersive light and sound show, recounting the eventful history of the building's construction at the dawn of the French Revolution, which gave rise to numerous rivalries between the families of the Saint-Germain district.

For 1h30, monumental 360° image projections, perfectly adapted to the building's sculptures, come to life in interaction with the actors and extras. The latter embody several generations of local families, for a real journey back in time, to the heart of one of the most important building sites of the Grand siècle and the daily life of Saint-Germain. Admire hundreds of costumes and enjoy original piano music. More than 150 costumed extras bring this historical fresco to life, plunging us from the intrigues of the Fronde to the beginnings of the French Revolution.

Conceived by director Damien Fontaine, this show uses cutting-edge visual technologies to dress the church's vast walls in spectacular projections. Combining video mapping, immersive sound and dialogue recorded by professional actors such as Annie Duperey, this performance stands out for its total immersion in the history of Saint-Sulpice. With two performances each evening at 7pm and 9pm, it's an opportunity to rediscover this neoclassical jewel through an original and unprecedented artistic and technological prism.

More than a simple projection, Paris Cœur de Lumières invites us to experience a real journey through time, where the major stages in the construction of Saint-Sulpice are interwoven with the broader history of the city and of France. The spectacular staging, with numerous actors invading the entire space of the church, allows us to appreciate this monument from every angle. We find ourselves completely immersed in history, right at the heart of the action.
