Le Viel Ange et l'Enfant, Christmas equestrian show at the Grandes Écuries de Chantilly

The Christmas show put on by the Compagnie équestre des Grandes Ecuries du Domaine de Chantilly is an exceptional event, and one to which we like to remain faithful. Always grandiose, always at the cutting edge of technique and technology, always perfectly staged. This year, the new equestrian show is entitled Le Viel Ange et l'Enfant .

The idea behind their equestrian shows? Combine acrobatics and dance with equestrian prowess, in a flamboyant décor and meticulous costumes. All with the poetry of a beautiful story and luminous colors, in the heart of the Grandes Écuries de Chantilly .

The new production is entitledLee Viel Ange et l'Enfant, createdand directed by Virginie Bienaimé. Horses, donkeys and ponies will parade under the dome of the Grandes Écuries, accompanied by riders, dancers andacrobats, under the direction of Sophie Bienaimé, equestrian and artistic director of the Grandes Écuries.

Le Viel Ange et l'Enfant (The Old Angel and the Child) tells a story set in a celestial kingdom, where the children are eagerly awaiting their descent to Earth, except for Pïa, who is afraid. Giuseppe, a grumpy old angel, is given one last chance to succeed in his mission: accompany the children to Earth. If he fails to convince Pïa, he will be banished. This poetic show blends humor and Christmas spirit through a variety of equestrian tableaux, where angel and child take spectators on an initiatory journey to the Grandes Écuries de Chantilly.

The Compagnie équestre du Château de Chantilly is world-famous for its equestrian shows presented under the dome of the Grandes Écuries, in a circular arena 13 meters in diameter. Founded in 1982 by equestrian Yves Bienaimé, the Musée Vivant du Cheval has been presenting shows since 1984. For almost forty years, thousands of spectators from all over the world have come to discover unique and innovative creations.
