From May 24 to June 3, 2023, Trigger Warning is presented at the Théâtre Paris-Villette: an opportunity to go on a cultural outing and discuss the subject of social networks with your teens after the show.
It's almost 4 a.m.: Zed, a teenager, scrolls, minutes, hours, all night long in his room, with only his smartphone screen for light. Trigger Warning takes you straight into the world of social networks through a real-time theatrical and musical performance: the text is punctuated by Billie Eillish's playlist Zed (which echoes the name of the protagonist), to evoke these parallel worlds to which social networks give us access.
Written by Marcos Caramès-Blanco, directed by Maëlle Dequiedt and performed by Lucas Faulong (Zed) and Orane Lemâle (all the other characters), Trigger Warning is inspired by the codes of adolescence today, acting as a warning, a reminder, a "trigger warning" against the content that can be consulted on social networks, which may contain elements that can trigger (or reactivate) a psychological trauma to a person. The show takes the option of representing the world of the Internet through a suppression of the image in favor of the language: a point of view that we do not necessarily see in other shows, and which is recommended with your teenagers!
