Tinguely and Niki de Saint Phalle's Cyclop reveals its secrets in the heart of the Milly-la-Forêt forest in Essonne. This extraordinary, monumental sculpture can be discovered or rediscovered, spruced up with an original and varied artistic program.

Fancy a cultural outing without leaving theParis region? Head for the woods of Milly-la-Forêt, in Essonne, for the new season of Cyclop, a monumental metal sculpture created by the couple Niki de Saint Phalle and Jean Tinguely.

Le Cyclop reopened to the public in May 2022, having been given a new lease of life by the Cnap (Centre national des arts plastiques), following a year's work and 1.5 million euros invested by numerous patrons.
You can once again enter this colossal collective work, and discover fantastic mechanics and unusual works by some fifteen of the couple's artist friends. This utopian monument, unique in the history of art, has benefited from 2 major restorations: the 325 m2 of mirrors in Nikki de Saint Phalle's La Face auxmiroirs, and Eva Aeppli's L'hommage aux déportés. This behemoth, inaugurated by President Mitterand in 1994, 22.5 m high and made of 350 tonnes of steel, is back in service for a new edition in spring 2024.

Over the past 10 years, the Cyclop Association has opened up the site to contemporary creation. It has become a place of connection between nature, the arts (plastic arts, music, visual arts, performance art) and curious visitors. Conferences, workshops, film screenings, artistic performances and tastings - the program is as varied and creative as the artistic genius of the legendary couple.

How about an artywalk in the woods?
