If you're a history buff or a lover of the city of Paris, this is the festival for you! With a historical parade, a Liberation dinner-show, an Olympic ball and an atmospheric village where you can travel back in time to the Middle Ages, the Liberation and the Belle Époque!

Like last year, theParis-Geneviève association is inviting history buffs to enjoy its"Paris vaut bien une fête" festival, on September 7 and 8, 2024, between the 5th and 6th arrondissements of Paris. Over the course of a weekend, the Jardin des Grands Explorateurs travels back in time, with period costumes, a Liberation dinner-show, an Olympic ball and a historical parade, to celebrate the centenary of the Olympic Games and the 80th anniversary of the Liberation.

A true voyage through 1500 years of Parisian life, thanks to a multi-eque village animated by actors and craftsmen in period dress, stone sculptors, jewelers and wood carvers, for initiations and demonstrations, as well as a costume parade from the Pantheon and numerous exceptional animations to make you believe you're in another dimension. Everything is free, except for dinner and the ball, where you can feast with family and friends in period costume for even more immersion.

Don't forget to book your free tickets, so you can enjoy the parade with its brass bands, historic vehicles, dancers and historic Parisian figures, as well as shows, a great treasure hunt and plays. It's an opportunity to rediscover Paris's vast heritage, through dance, music, gastronomy, literature and crafts, and to give back to the capital its festivities of yesteryear, for a weekend!
