Phénomèn'Art: 3 days of street art in all its forms

Phénomèn'Art, the street art festival, returns to Val-de-Marne and south-east Paris on October 11, 12 and 13.

On the program:

  • Live murals, such as a 135 m² monumental work at the port of Bonneuil-sur-Marne, or a fresco in Ivry-sur-Seine created by several local artists performing at the same time.
  • Introductory workshops in various street art techniques
  • Guided urban walks
  • Open houses at artists' studios, as in Ivry-sur-Seine and Vincennes
  • Exhibitions in cultural venues
  • Encounters with artists are at the heart of this program. There will be opportunities for discussion and debate.

Greater Paris is the cradle of street art, where world-famous artists regularly grace city walls. You'll find a wide range of street art tours in every corner of the metropolis throughout the year, including: a stroll through Vitry, street art capital of Paris; a street art stroll through Ivry with a private visit to an artist's studio; discovering the monumental works of art in Paris 13; street art in Paris 12 and meeting with an artist; the history of street art on the Butte-aux-cailles; street art and feminism in the Batignolles district, etc.

Looking for gastronomy? You'll be spoilt for choice with visits to the cocoa factory,a spirits distillery or the Gallia brewery in Pantin, or to an artisan winemaker. For cheese lovers, meet Monsieur Fromage in Nogent! You can also delve into the world of coffee at Capuch' Montreuil, where you can savour artisanal roasting. Art artisans reveal their secrets during visits to a stained glass or ceramics workshop.

Last but not least, companies such as Saint Gobain Placoplatre, Cité Maraichère de Romainville and Archives Diplomatiques will be opening up their backstage areas. If you prefer live entertainment, opt for a backstage tour of the MC93 or a guided tour of the Stade de France.

Admire the architecture of the cities of Greater Paris

Numerous urban walks take you on a discovery of the architectural heritage of Paris and the surrounding towns.

Follow in the footsteps of Hector Guimard at the village of Auteuil, the works of Le Corbusier to the south of Paris, or the architect Hector Malo at Vincennes. DiscoverArt Deco at the Palais de Chaillot and the work of Oscar Niemeyer at the headquarters of the French Communist Party.

Explore heritage in a different way

Take a guided tour of the Basilique Saint-Denis to appreciate its Gothic architecture and the history of the kings and queens of France.
