If you doubt that the White Night is the occasion to take over the city, head to the Pont Alexandre III that will be entirely invaded by artists and associations in the night of Saturday October 6, 2018.
Upon invitation of Gaël Charbau (White Night Paris art director), the Thanks For Nothing group will take over the kilometer joining the Invalides to the Grand Palais to offer performances, readings and screenings of contemporary artists.
On this Super Kilometer, turned into a “Pont des Echanges ou Axe Républicain” [Exchanges Bridge or Republican Axis Bridge], the Parisian life will be reconstructed with 16 food trucks, artists, readers, dancers as well as roller-derby races and concerts by SCALE group to make this Paris artery come to live since its often packed with cars.
And besides artists, 5 associations offering an access to culture to disadvantaged people will be promoted. The Fondation Abbé Pierre, L’Atelier des Artistes en Exil, Bibliothèques sans Frontières, Cultures du Cœur and Music Fund, these associations all have something in common, their artistic and cultural actions in favor of the most disadvantaged people.
To thank them and support them with a beautiful action, Thanks For Nothing organizes object donations. Books, paints, colored pencil, music instruments and you can even bring what could help to host art workshops. In exchange, the group also invited 10 artists including prima ballerina Marie-Claude Pietragalla who will perform.
Let’s go there without giving any second thought.
