Invited by the White Night 2018 art director Gaël Charbau, this Saturday October 6, 2018 Florian Viel and his Tropicool Company will make you live out a funny experience. The vegetal artist will take over the Gare de Lyon and several metros on the line 1 and put some green in, yes he will!
According to the RATP, Florian Viel “doesn’t just put a moving greenhouse in Paris undergrounds; he invites each and everyone to be one with the plan, in a sort of a “nature-future” dismissing the man from its so-called superiority and invites him to mix the reigns”.
First leg, from September 28, 2018: The Tropicool Company will “tropicoolize” the Gare de Lyon. The Hall 2 of the big railway station will change colors thanks to a shading of colors under the glass roof accompanying the race of the sun. This moving show will be intensified by Cédrick Eymenier and James S. Taylor’s wrapping sounds from Coriolis Sounds label.
And in the night from Saturday October 6 to Sunday October 7, 2018 Florian Viel takes over the metros of line 1 and will put dozens of plants to brighten your travels! On the occasion, metro line 1 will work all night long and for free from 2:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.
