Inspired by Claude Monet's famous garden at Giverny, Rueil's Parc des Impressionnistes is sure to please. Ideally situated facing the Seine near the Impressionist Island, this recent 1996 park is a veritable masterpiece, boasting no fewer than 250 varieties of perennials and shrubs.
On arrival, you'll discover a lovely stretch of water with a central island overlooking the wooden bridge, and a majestic wisteria which, in April, enchants the view of strollers. A kiosk and a wooden frog complete the bucolic decor.
Behind the bridge, you can follow the stream to discover a rose garden, a white garden and a collection garden, all of which offer a wealth of visual and olfactory discoveries.
Access to the park is via the allée Jacques Prévert, the rue Raymond Queneau, which features a beautiful Wallace fountain, and the Promenade Bad-Soden. The park is open to all free of charge from October 1 to April 30, from 9.30am to 6pm, and from May 1 to September 30, from 9.30am to 8pm.
