Located 30 km from Paris in Saint-Pierre-du-Perray, between Corbeil-Essonnes and Savigny-le-Temple, the Babyland-Amiland amusement park , now called Winnoland, has come a long way since its creation in 1985. Starting out with just a few rides, the park has come a long way. Sold a few years after its creation to a Belgian group that wanted to turn it into a Walibi in the Paris region, the park was finally bought by fairground owner Xavier Lapère, who wanted to own it when he first sold it.
Note that for this new season, the park, like Parc Astérix, is actively recruiting seasonal workers with or without experience for various positions:"Candidates can send us their CV and covering letter," announces Steeve Varinou, Winnoland's events and communications manager. Either by e-mail, directly on the site, or by attending the job fair on February 17.
Every year, the park has seen an increase in attendance, reaching 230,000 visitors last year, according to Le Parisien. The park now boasts some 30 attractions for young and old, and 7 food and beverage outlets. Babyland was originally conceived as a park for 0-12 year-olds. Today, the park is evolving to delight older children.
In 2024, families can look forward to several new features. Among them, the Pedalosaurus, an innovation designed for younger guests who can't access the Pteranodon, the thrill ride launched the previous year. As a reminder, the Pteranodon is a merry-go-round of flying chairs that sends you 30 meters into the air in a prehistoric atmosphere. This 1.2 million euro investment marks a turning point in the park's history, transforming it from a large playground into an attractive amusement park for older visitors. Next year, another major innovation awaits us: the arrival of the mine train, currently under construction!
In short, a multitude of attractions ranging from small carousels to the spectacular Pteranodon, including a Ferris wheel and water attractions. The Winnoland team does everything in its power to ensure that every member of the family has a memorable time.
Don't miss the Circus TiTi family and their dazzling shows at the foot of the Ferris wheel. Enjoy a ride on the Ferris wheel and cool off in the water games. The Caterpillar rubs shoulders with inflatables, carousels and the little train. You can also try your hand at mini-golf, which has been given a facelift, jump on the trampolines and ride a mechanical horse.
Winnoland's attractive rates make it an affordable alternative to better-known theme parks such as Disneyland Paris or Parc Astérix. Prices are €18.50 for an adult and €14.50 for a child between 90 and 105 cm tall. Senior citizens and people with reduced mobility benefit from reduced rates, and parking is free (not insignificant these days).
Winnoland is open from March 30, 2024 to November 3, 2024 (depending on the day), with all attractions and food and beverage outlets accessible. It opens daily during school vacations, and will continue at weekends and on some Wednesdays after August.
In short, for a pretty park where you can have fun without having to queue too much, here's what you need to have a good time.
