France's tallest and fastest attraction has arrived at Parc Astérix! Toutatis is the name of the famous roller coaster that makes Pegasus Express, Oziris and the new Tonnerre 2 Zeus look like choirboys. For the record, Toutatis is Parc Asterix's biggest-ever attraction. It's an LSM(Linear Synchronous Motor) Launch Coaster costing a whopping €30 million. Originally scheduled to open in 2021, it will finally be ready for the 2023 Parc Astérix season.
The figures alone for this roller coaster are worth the detour. Imagine a 1,075-metre-long circuit, cars propelled at 107 km/h with 23 Airtimes (seat lift-off) to reach a height of 51 m twice, all with an incline of 101° for a ride that lasts 2 minutes, and you'll already be turned upside down. That's 4 European records broken for this new ride.
3 cars await you for this new attraction, with a single-person queue and lockers for unloading your bags during the experience. For Toutatis, we're promised a sensation quite different from other rides: a feeling of freedom. In fact, we're held in place solely by our hips.
So we put it to the test! Unlike other rides, which raise the temperature as they slowly climb the slopes, Toutatis starts like a cannonball and doesn't stop until the end. You don't really have time to catch your breath, because it's non-stop dizzying sensations. That said, you're strapped in tight and you don't feel any shocks, unlike on other rides. In short, we recommend you give it a try.
The thrill ride is located behind the Trace du Hourra and extends into the Egypt Zone, where Oziris is currently located. And the surprise doesn't stop there, as it's not just one attraction that opens up, but an entire 2.5-hectare area. In fact, it's the largest theme zone ever built at the Park since it opened in 1989.
In fact, it also includes a new family attraction called Chez Gyrofolix : a ride with 4 orbiting arms for young and old adventurers alike. A good harness system, thrills and spills for brave little decadents - it's a real treat.
Add to this the Park's largest play area, theAire de jeux du Sanglier, offering a wide range of activities. With its sports courses, slides, net and climbing wall, children can put their energy to good use.
In short, it's all very tiring! So it's only natural that a new restaurant should open in this huge new area. The Restaurant au Dolmen Gourmand offers Burgers and Cervoise for the hungry that you are.
In short, if you're a fan of thrill rides, if you're an adventurer who never shies away from a thrill and always wants more, here's a new attraction that's sure to send shivers down your spine! And for the little adventurers, head for Gyrofolix and the Giant Wild Boar Playground.
Parc Astérix's new "Festival Toutatis" zone, which opened on April 8, has already attracted thousands of curious visitors in search of new attractions and thrills. But it was this weekend, May 12, 2023, that Parc Asterix General Manager Delphine Pons officially inaugurated this new section of the park at a private event.
The event featured thezone's flagship attraction "Toutatis", whose godparents are renowned actors Philippe Lacheau, Elodie Fontan, Julien Arruti and Reem Kherici.
The program included a fireworks show, Celtic orchestras and a DJ set by Martin Solveig. The Toutatis attraction was officially inaugurated by Philippe Lacheau. A number of celebrities were also present, including Audrey Fleurot, Jean Paul Rouve, Arnaud Ducret, Bilal Hassani, Elodie Gossuin, Ludivine Sagnier and Maeva Coucke.
