A visit to remember... While Disneyland Paris is blowing out a new candle on April 12, 2025, the day before, on April 11, 2025, the destination presented to the press the news to come regarding theextension of Walt Disney Studios, the announcement of which in 2018 had caused much excitement and anticipation.
The editorial team, invited for the occasion, was not only able to fill up on the latest news, but also had the great good fortune to be able to set foot on the site and, like astronauts, be the first outsiders to set foot on these new lands still untouched by families and other visitors, and get an idea of the whole thing.
As it does every year on its anniversary - this April 12, 2025 - Disneyland Paris takes the opportunity to make a few announcements about the future of the destination, or simply talk about current business at the parks. And this year has been no slouch in terms of announcements, as we've learned some very nice things about, among others, World Premiere, the Lion King zone and the Sequoia Lodge and Davy Crockett Ranch hotels.
Starting with World Premiere, which has been given an official opening date! See you in May to finally enter the park's classic entrance, through the former Studio 1! We visited the construction site, and you can read our first impressions here :

Another exciting announcement is the construction of a brand-new attraction inspired by the Pixar film Là-Haut, directly opposite Rapunzel Tangled Spin, on which work is due to begin shortly.
Disneyland Paris: update on Disney World Adventure's Là-Haut attraction
On April 11, 2025, Disneyland Paris unveiled the imminent arrival of a brand-new attraction at Walt Disney Studios, the future Disney Adventure World. A "flying chair" type attraction on the theme of Là-Haut, which will open after the opening of the entire zone, just opposite Tangled Spin. And we learned a lot more after the building permit was published... We give you the lowdown! [Read more]
Disney also took the opportunity to give an update on The Lion King zone, the future show to be held on the lake, as well as on the renovation of two of Disney's flagship hotels: Sequoia Lodge and Davy Crockett Ranch!

And to round off the day in style, the Sortiraparis editorial team set foot in the very heart of the construction site in progress. After a visit to World Premiere, we donned our safety shoes, helmets, goggles and gloves to discover - and, above all, get an idea of - what awaits visitors in spring 2026, whenAdventure Way, Adventure Bay and the Snow Queen zone open.
Adventure Way really does feel like the Champs-Élysées, with a touch of Disney magic. The reason? The abundance of trees that accompany you along the way. It's also a much greener space, with many more benches (or at least more visible ones), encouraging you to escape the frantic rush of attractions and shows by taking a breather. The lake also fulfils this role very well, as does the view of the Arendelle mountains. A welcome haven of peace.
Here too, the imagineers have conceived this avenue as a demonstration of their expertise in forced perspectives... And it works, even though the work isn't yet finished! It will take you a good five minutes in total to cross the avenue from one end to the other, although it seems to take longer when you see this famous perspective giving the impression of a longer space. A word about the English gardens too: three cartoons will be represented with their statues, in bronze: The 101 Dalmatians, Peter Pan and Winnie The Pooh. And a future photo spot for sure!
When we reached the end, we could admire the Snow Queen zone from afar. But the gigantism of this area was such that we felt as if we were right on top of it... because yes: this area is huge! One of the largest areas, perhaps, that Disney has ever imagined for its Paris park. It's impressive, and the decor we've seen so far is really impressive.
We then walked along part of the lake to position ourselves opposite the future Lion King zone. And its layout made us understand why the imagineers had ultimately decided to change franchises... We won't necessarily be able to explain it, but it made sense to us at the time. It seemed clever, and when we imagined what it would look like, we could see the contrast with all the other zones(Snow Queen and Avengers Campus). Everything complements each other in perfect harmony.
It's a promising extension that will change the park's structure quite a bit. It also remains to be seen how the transitions will be made between the existing area and the area under construction, in detail (it's difficult to give an opinion here without the area being completely finished). We'll just have to judge for ourselves, once the work is finished and the area is open!
