If you want to reach for the stars for an evening in Paris, it's easier than becoming an astronaut. All you have to do is make your way to the top of the Tour Montparnasse. From Friday August 2 to Sunday August 4, 2019, the panoramic observatory of the imposing glass tower invites you to experience the 29th edition of Nuits des Etoiles from one of the capital's highest points!
Towering 210 metres above Paris, the observatory lets you admire the beauty of the sky without being disturbed by city lights. The panoramic terrace will feature several observation points equipped with telescopes and binoculars, and staffed by members of the AFA (Association Française d'Astronomie). All the more reason to marvel at the Milky Way, its constellations, shooting stars and mysterious planets.
This year's theme is " from stone to star "!
On the 56th floor, in space 56, you'll also be able to attend lectures given by the AFA every evening from 8pm onwards, explaining what these stones tell us about time and space.
All in all, you'll leave with stars in your eyes!
Note that this year, access to the Nuits des Etoiles at the Tour Montparnasse is changing... Each participant will need a special " Nuit des Et oiles" ticket to access the telescope viewing - only available online (places are limited to 100 each evening).
