Journées des Plantes de Chantilly 2024: the meeting place for plant lovers

The Journées des Plantes de Chantilly are back for their 16th edition, with an even richer program of events and workshops for all tastes. The grounds of the Château de Chantilly will once again be the scene of unique experiences for passionate gardeners, aesthetes, collectors and the curious.

Whether you're a gardening enthusiast on your terrace or balcony, or looking to embellish windows or the vast expanses of a château park, a wide variety of plants awaits you just 40 km north of Paris. Chantilly's famous Fête des Plantes is held twice a year, welcoming spring in May and celebrating autumn in October. This event is the privileged meeting point for the best nursery gardeners in France and Europe, marking a flourishing transition from the south to the north of the Paris region. The event features a range of European exhibitors, expert advice, a selection of nurseries offering rare plants, as well as conferences and signing sessions with gardening experts.

For the Spring 2024 edition, details of the theme and sponsor will be announced at a later date. Each year, the event brings together nurserymen, collectors, landscapers, plant industry professionals and horticultural associations. The program includes conferences, signing sessions, animations, workshops and practical advice. For three days, participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of plants and gardening, acquire trees, shrubs, perennials and other plant varieties, from the most classic to the rarest, and discover the latest tools and equipment to maintain and enhance their gardens.

Your tickets give you free parking and access to the event and the park for a day of your choice between May 17 and 19, 2024. For your convenience, a left-luggage service is available to transport your plants or purchases to the visitor parking lots. In addition, Kéolis Oise shuttles are ready to welcome you at the entrance to the site, near the main entrance, with departures coordinated with Chantilly station train times, operating from 9:30 am to 7 pm, to facilitate your travel.

For your breaks, a variety of catering options await you on site. The Snack des Tilleuls offers a selection of sweet and savoury dishes to take away throughout the day. The Brasserie de l'Île d'Amour welcomes you with its continuous-service rotisserie, while the Restaurant Le Lac des Cygnes offers tasty local cuisine with sit-down and à la carte service for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., complemented by a tea room in the morning and afternoon. Other options include Restaurant du château - La Capitainerie, Restaurant du parc - Le Hameau, Terroirs & Châteaux for a tasting of the famous Chantilly cream, and Trueba for ice creams, waffles and crêpes.
